About Josephus
Josephus was a 1st-century Jewish-Roman historian. Born in Jerusalem, he initially fought against the Romans during the first Jewish-Roman war, but ultimately defected to the Roman side and became an advisor to the Roman emperor's son. Josephus's works are an important source of information on Jewish history during the end of the First Temple period and the wars that took place then.
